THE JOY OF ROUNDING THE BASES IS priceless
For over 18 years, MLSD has provided children and adults with disabilities the opportunity to play baseball in an inclusive, supportive, and joyful environment. Each player is paired with a volunteer “buddy” who provides encouragement, guidance, and friendship on and off the field. Through our Nurturing Philanthropic Souls® initiative, we empower hundreds of local volunteers.

The Field of Belonging
My artwork shows my brother’s special needs baseball team, a place filled with laughter, encouragement, and love. Every player, coach, and buddy is different, yet together they form one beautiful team. On this field, no one feels left out and everyone shines in their own way. I wanted to capture this moment of true belonging, where kindness and acceptance matter more than ability. To me, this baseball field represents the world as it should be, where hearts connect, differences are celebrated, and everyone belongs.
